We are recruiting for a Senior IT Project Manager on a Fixed Term Basis until March 2025.

Main Responsibilities
● Oversee the creation and upkeep of project plans that achieve the established milestones and objectives.
● Develop comprehensive business cases, including feasibility studies, outline business cases (OBC), and detailed scheme designs.
● Provide project management expertise, ensuring clear responsibilities, priorities, and timelines are set and delivery is tracked effectively.
● Design and lead project meetings with stakeholders, ensuring broad participation and a strong focus on action planning. Serve as chair when needed.
● Create and maintain effective project reporting for the project board’s use.
● Proactively manage risk across all project activities and ensure stakeholders are informed.
● Collaborate with third parties to deliver projects within tight deadlines.
● Determine and allocate resources, including staff, and adjust allocations as needed to ensure successful delivery within the set time, cost, and quality parameters.
● Monitor progress to ensure the project aligns with the organisations Values, Standing Financial Instructions, project management processes, and complies with relevant legislation, statutory approvals, and mandatory standards.

Key Skills
● PRINCE2© Practitioner qualified – or qualification in similar structured project management methodologies
● Experience of managing and co-ordinating a range of technical projects, including financial management, resource management, work allocation and management of 3 rd party supplies in a complex organisation.
● Previous technical experience in an ITIL environment
● Extensive practical experience in project management work and in planning and performance reporting across a complex environment.
