Tyler Perry is following through on his offer to support a 93-year-old South Carolina woman who has been at risk of losing her historic home amid an ongoing legal battle.
A source tells PEOPLE that the billionaire filmmaker and actor is building Josephine Wright a new house on the same land where she currently lives and that “they expect to break ground in the coming weeks.”
“Tyler wanted to be able to provide a house for her that was large enough for her entire family to be together including her grandkids,” the source tells PEOPLE.
It’s a significant update for Wright, who has been locked in a battle with developers trying to force her out of her Hilton Head property that has been with her family since the Civil War, as
“This house means it’s a home, a place where I want to be at this age,” Wright, the grandmother to 40, great-grandmother to 50, and great-great-grandmother to 16 children, previously told.
