Nigerian Police React To Murder Allegation: Organ Dealer’s Case No Longer With Us
The Abia State Police Command on Tuesday, said the case involving a suspected organ dealer, Andrew Amaechi, is no longer with them in Umuahia.
According to the police authorities, the suspect was arrested in the Aba area of the state on May 8.
After Amaechi’s arrest, reports emerged that police authorities allegedly killed him amid the search for two of his latest victims.
It was reported that the suspect arrested in connection to the disappearance of two friends, Celine Ndudim and Afiba Tandoh in Aba, Abia State, was killed while trying to escape when the case was transferred to Abuja.
But an Assistant Superintendent of Police, and the spokesperson of the Abia State Police Command, Maureen Chinaka, said the suspect was transferred to Abuja after his arrest.
According to her, the case was moved to the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) of the Force headquarters on May 21.
She, however, added that the police command would not give further details on the case, as it was no longer with the state command.
Andrew Amaechi Wanted In the UK For Sexual Assault
Andrew Amaechi is wanted by Thames Valley Police following an incident in June 2019. This is according to a report by BuckinghamshireLive, dated March 2023.
He was described as being 5ft7in tall, heavy build, and having a small scar on his left eyebrow.
Thames Valley Police is now appealing for the public’s help to find him.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Rob Buchanan, based at Milton Keynes police station, said:
“Enquiries have been ongoing to locate Andrew Ucheckwo but we are now appealing for the public’s help. If you see him, do not approach him and call 999, or if you know where he is or may have seen him previously please call 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference number 43190173124.
